ACADEMIC & EDUCATION MODEL
An Education Built Around Each Child
Every child at Bethel is made in God’s image — and we believe their education should honor exactly who God made them to be. There’s no single mold to squeeze into here. Each learner follows an individualized growth plan inside a community that knows them by name, where discipleship comes first and curiosity leads the way. Learning becomes something a child owns — not something that’s simply done to them.
Individualized — But Never On Their Own
Personalized learning is often pictured as learning alone. At Bethel, it’s the opposite.
A plan as unique as your child
Every learner has an individualized growth plan shaped to their pace, their gifts, and their God-given wiring. No two journeys look exactly alike — because no two children do.
A community that won’t let them go it alone
That plan unfolds inside an intentionally cultivated, multi-age community — where children learn to recognize their gifts, come alongside others, and advocate for themselves: first to peers a little further down the road, then to the guides who walk with them.
A younger learner is mentored. An older one learns to lead. That kind of growth simply can’t happen in isolation.
The Bethel Difference
These four pillars set Bethel apart from every other educational model. They aren’t features we added on — they’re the foundation everything else is built upon.
Rooted in Christ
Discipleship first, followed by life skills and academics — in that order.
Belonging at Bethel
Every learner is known, valued, and supported in their unique needs.
Learning Done Differently
Every learner has an individualized growth plan, empowering each child to take ownership of their own journey of wonder and curiosity.
Family Partnership
Bridging the gap between home and school through full partnership with families and regular one-on-one collaboration.
We’re Not Teaching Kids to Take Tests
Every part of the Bethel day is intentional. We care less about whether a child can sit still and fill in a bubble, and more about whether they can think, plan, problem-solve, and take ownership of their own growth. Those executive-functioning skills — focus, self-direction, the courage to advocate — carry a child far beyond any single test: into high school, into college, into the real world.
